The Thomson clan announces with great sorrow that on Wednesday, April 16th 2014, in Sturgeon Falls, our beloved matriarch passed away at the age of 71 years.
Daughter of the late Lionel Lavergne and of the late Marion (née Deck) Lavergne. Loving Wife of James (Bucky) Thomson of Sturgeon Falls. Dear mother of Tracey (Villemaire) St Jean of Grimsby, Jamie Cushing (Joseph), Peggy Thomson (Marc), Curtis Thomson (Tessa) all of Sturgeon Falls, Catherine Bull (Brent), Jennifer McLaren (Steve) both of North Bay. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her 11 grandchildren Paul, Kryssy, Emilie, Ken, Kyle, Katie, Taylor, Daniel, Courtney, Harley and Clara.
For Karen, family was everything. An only child, she longed for a large family of her own and devoted her life to her husband, children and grandchildren. She was happiest when her home was filled with laughter and activity. Never an event missed or detail forgotten, Karen was genuinely invested in her community and the lives of everyone around her and she will be sorely missed.
The family will receive friends at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Sturgeon Falls, Friday May 2, 2014 after 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00.
