Lichty, Lillian (née Zehr) 1928-2017
The Lichty family announces with sorrow her death in Sudbury, Monday January 23, 2017 at the age of 88 years. Daughter of the late Daniel Zehr and of the late Annie Brenneman. Wife of the late Samuel (Sam) Lichty. Loving mother of Carolyn Begue (John) of Pass Christian, MS U.S.A. , Roger (Rachel) of Alban, Doug (Joanne) of Ottawa, Janet Rodda (Ray) of Worthington and Kristine Coulombe (Gilles) of Sudbury. Predeceased by her son Keith. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren James (Jo-Ann) of Brampton, Sara of Sudbury, Stéphane of Vancouver, Anna (Étienne) of Ottawa, Kimberly Murphy (Kyle) of Toronto, Sam Rodda of Worthington, Chloe Coulombe of Sudbury and her great grandchildren Amelia and Claire. Lillian is also survived by her brothers Ron (Ruth), Glen (Mary Ellen) and by her sister Katie Bender (late Armand) all of New Hamburg. Predeceased by her siblings Vernon (late Katie), Dorothy Bender (late Art), Olive Bender (late Orville) and Daniel (Joyce of Tavistock). She is survived by Sisters-in-law Leona (Noah) Lichty of Monetville and Salina Zehr of Millbank. Lillian and her late husband Sam were longtime residents of Monetville where they raised their family and participated in church and community life. The family will receive friends in Calvary Mennonite Church, 15 Mercer Road, Monetville, Thursday January 26, 2017 after 9 am. The funeral service will follow at 2 pm. Arrangements in care of the Theoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls.
