Léo  Fortin
The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Monday May 19th 2014 at the age of 95 years. Son of the late Alexandre Fortin and of the late Odélie (née Leclerc) Fortin. Predeceased by his step-mother Gertrude (née Leblanc) Fortin. Predeceased by his wife Edith (née Beaudette) Fortin. Dear father of Marcel (Jeannine) and René (Jocelyne) both of Sturgeon Falls. Predeceased by his daughter Claire Verdon (Pierre of Ottawa). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his 6 grandchildren Sylvie Remillard (Luc), Michel (Sharon), Tracy (friend Natalie), Rock (friend Tina), Joanne, Roxanne Laporte (Martin) and by 6 great grandchildren Patrick, Mathieu, Natasha, Brittney, Tyler, Brooke, Tracey-Anne and Jessica. Also survived by his sister Denise Gendron of Sudbury, Richard Fortin (Aldeen ), Donald Fortin, Denis Fortin all of Sturgeon Falls. Predeceased by his brothers Edgar Fortin (Corrie Sealey of Sturgeon Falls) Roger Fortin, Thomas Fortin and by his sisters Adèsse Morin, Laura Giroux, Laurette Hutley and Carmen Fabre. Many thanks and appreciation to Dr. Behamdouni, Dr. Breton, Dr. Wadhwa, the staff at Au Château and the staff at the West Nipissing General Hospital for their dedicated and compassionate care of Léo. The family will receive friends in Sacré Coeur Church, Sturgeon Falls Saturday May 31, 2014 after 10:30 am. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00. Donations to Au Château or to the West Nipissing General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated (cheques only). Arrangements in care of Théorêt Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls.
