The family announces with sorrow her death in Sturgeon Falls, Tuesday September 18, 2012 at the age of 82 years. Daughter of the late Edgar Arcand and the late Ida (née Spooner) Arcand. Loving wife for over 62 years of Armand Galipeau of Sturgeon Falls. Cherished mother of Ida Warren (David) of Collingwood, Charles (Karen) of Sudbury, Rose Anne Morin (Bijan) travelling at sea, Guy (Joanne) of Brampton, Marc of Sturgeon Falls, Claude (Lynette) of Lakeland, Florida and Gilles (Sylvie) of Toronto. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her brother Rhéal Arcand (Rachelle) of North Bay. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters Laurette Empie (late Boyd), Rollande Lefebvre (late Roger), Gérard Arcand (Noella of Sturgeon Falls), Léo Arcand (Germaine of Sturgeon Falls), Gilbert Arcand, and Olivine Arcand. Lola and Armand were the former owners and operators of the Sunshine Motel. Lola was also a regular contributor to the Tribune with articles about family history and local historical facts. Above all Lola was a great mother and wife. The family will receive friends at the Théorêt Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls, on Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, September 21, 2012 at 11:00 am. in Ste -Thérèse D’Avila Church, Cache Bay.
