Obituary for Monique Morin

Monique Morin
Morin, Monique (née Roy) 1951-2017
It is with heaviest of hearts that we say “Good Bye” to my wife, our mom and our mémère, and who is now in the arms of the Lord since February 14, 2017. Loving daughter of Jacqueline Roy (née Bernard) of Sturgeon Falls and the late Henri Roy. Loving wife of Larry Morin of Sturgeon Falls. Precious mother of Guy (Carrie) of Onaping, Robert (Melanie) of Hanmer, Michael (Karla) of Verner. Mémère of Curran, Lucas, Raelle, Eva and Violet. Dear sister of Michel Roy (Nicole) of Cochrane. Also survived by her uncle Raymond Bernard. She was a dedicated registered nurse in the emergency department at the West Nipissing General Hospital for many years. She loved the great outdoors, going to camp, enjoying family time, swimming, fishing and walks in the woods. When she became a wife and mother she shared those moments and shared her knowledge of nature with her family. She loved living in Verner, where she would be seen working in her garden. She was inspiring, so creative mixing flowers, wood carvings, rocks and antiques. She loved to inspire other gardeners in creating garden rooms. She also developed her skills in photography taking pictures of her flowers. She never wanted to take credit or the limelight for her work, but gave the most wonderful smile. She cherished her private family life. Her wondrous love of life, her strong compassion, respect and kindness to help will always be cherished by those of us whose life she touched. Monique you are forever in our hearts and may you forever soar on the winds of heaven. A celebration of life/service will be held Saturday, May 13, 2017. Visitation from 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. at Theoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls. Donations to the West Nipissing General Hospital would be greatly appreciated. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Theoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, her co-workers and the nursing staff who cared for Monique as well as West Nipissing VON staff.
