The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Thursday June 27th, 2013 at the age of 84 years. Son of the late Pierre Olivier and the late Madeleine (née de Bonneau). Arrived from France March 9th, 1952. Loving husband of Rita (née Beaudry) of Verner. Dear father of Pierre (Mariette), Daniel (Lise) both of Verner and André (Julie) of Sudbury. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his 8 grandchildren Nathalie, Pierre, Joël, Yves, Miguel, Nadine, François, Josée and by his 5 great-grandchildren Curtis, Carigan, Parker, Noah-Pierre and Alexis. Predeceased by his sister Françoise. Mr. Olivier served on numerous boards, such as the Municipal Library Board of Verner, the Caisse Populaire de Verner, the Parish Counsel in Verner, the French Catholic School Board, the Co-operative Régionale de Nipissing Sudbury and the East Sudbury-West Nipissing Economic Partners. The family will receive friends for a mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated in St-Jean-Baptiste church, Verner Friday July 5th, 2013 at 11:00 am.
