It is with deep sadness that we say goodbye to our ray of sunshine who passed peacefully on August 23, 2018 with his family by his side.
Devoted husband of 43 years to Aline (née Lapalme), loving father to Allain (Tanya) and Ly-Anne (Kristopher, Jakob).
Brother to Irene (Ron), late Pierre (2015) and Lynn. Uncle to Robert, Sylvie, Julie, Shawn, Roxanne and late Stephen.
Very special and devoted cousin to Lucille, Darryll, and Mellissa Last; Carmen, John, Ian and James Wood.
Also loved by his Lapalme family, Viola (née Landers), late Orval (2003), Normand (Maureen), André (Liliane), Denis (Nicole), Rosanne (Luc) Desjardins and Michel (Julie).
Forever will be missed by Franny, Jeffrey, Katherine, Gabby, Jennifer, Michelle, Sylvie, Natalie, Chantal, Adam, Jeremy, Maddy, Maddie, Will and Ben. Fond memories of Uncle René will continue to be shared with Aiden, Henry and Alex.
He is now with special late family members and friends whom he missed.
Finally, René is reunited with his most beloved grandmother and Uncle Victor (aka Dood) who raised him to be the special and caring man that he was.
René was all about the kids. A donation to a charity supporting underprivileged children in sports would be greatly appreciated.
While no visitation will be held, a celebration of life will follow at a later date.
