On Thursday July 17, 2014, Richard Albert Joseph Desjardins of Verner (formerly of Espanola) was suddenly and warmly walked through the golden gates held by the loving hands of God, at the age of 68 years. Cherished husband of Lise (née Goulard) Desjardins of Verner and loving father of Edgar Desjardins of Sudbury and Ann Demers-Desjardins of Hanmer. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his two grandchildren, Jacob Desjardins and Eric Demers-Desjardins. Predeceased by his granddaughter Émélie-Ann Demers. Son of the late Jean Desjardins and of the late Liana (née Séguin) Desjardins. Dear brother of Jean-Guy (late Paulette) of Temiscaming, Gervaise Pellerin (late Jacques) of Kitchener, Marie Lauriault (late Frank) of Ottawa and Normand (Denise) of Sturgeon Falls. Predeceased by his brothers, Jacko, Gallant, Donat and Claude. Richard will be missed by many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Theoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls, Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 1 to 4 pm. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 in the chapel.
