The family announces with sorrow his death in Sudbury, Saturday July 5th 2014 at the age of 58 years. Son of the late Alcide Viau and of the late Denise (née Duquette) Viau. Loving husband of Valarie (née Dokis) Viau of Noëlville. Survived by his children Shelley Duquette-Lafortune (Jeff) of Noëlville and Gerry Duquette Jr. (Anne) of Sturgeon Falls. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Chad, Mason, Cassie and Drew. Also survived by his sister Claudette Bromley (Raymond) of Levac. Predeceased by his brother Lucien (Judy of Capreol). Richard was an avid hunter, trapper, and fisherman and loved his job at MNR where he worked for the past 33 years. The family will receive friends at École Secondaire Rivière des Français, 11 Lahaie Street, Noëlville Friday July 11th 2014 from 2:00 to 5:00 and from 7:00 to 9:30. The funeral service will be held Saturday July 12th, 2014 at 11:00 in École Secondaire Rivière des Français, Noëlville.
