The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls on Sunday, February 21st 2016 at the age of 80 years. Son of the late Trefflé Paquette and of the late Anna (née Sylvestre) Paquette. Loving husband of Yvonne (née Duguay) Paquette of Sturgeon Falls. Dear father of Ronald (Jocelyne) of Timmins, Michel (Sandra) of Val Thérèse, Gaëtan (Joanne) of Garson, Sylvie Venne (Réjean) of Sturgeon Falls and Claude (Ginette) of Hanmer. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Melanie (Ted) of Bowmanville, Julie (Glenn) of Ottawa, Renée-Anne (Stephanie) of Sturgeon Falls, Eric (Courtney) of Calgary, Danielle (Greg) of Sudbury, Michelle (Trevor) of Skead, France (Justin) of Ottawa, Alain of Timmins, Patrick (Lianne) of Callander, Réjean Jr. (Danielle) of Ottawa, Paul (Katelyn) of Embrun, Christine (Ryan) and Bruno of Val Caron. Also survived by 19 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Raymonde Rainville (Alcide) and Georgette Coutu (Raymond) both of Verner. Predeceased by his brother Pierre Paquette. Roger worked for the Banque Canadienne National for 36 years. He was bank manager in Sudbury for many years, then at the Banque Canadienne National in Verner. He was also the former treasurer of “ Le Club Richelieu de Sudbury” and former president of the “Centre des Jeunes” in Sudbury. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Au Château for their dedicated and compassionate care. The family will receive friends at the Théorêt Bourgeois Funeral Home, Verner, Thursday March 3rd 2016 from 7 to 9pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday March 4th at 11 a.m. at St-Jean Baptiste Church, Verner. Donations to Au Château (patient activities) would be appreciated (cheques only).
