Alcide was a remarkable man, with a remarkable spirit. Whether it was about trapping, wildlife, life, or love he was the best of teachers. Alcide cared, in a way that was meaningful and enduring. I never met his children but they can know that his integrity and interest had great effect on his efforts and dedication to the Fur Institute of Canada, and the many people whose lives he touched. My thanks to his kids who so generously shared him with the world. Adieu cher Alcide
