Grandpapa

Grandpapa was such a beautiful, loving man. He always had a huge hug and a warm smile waiting... I am SO going to miss those hugs. He was a kind person, and didn't need extravagant things to bring him happiness -- he loved his wood working, his friends, family, community, and even that little apartment in Sturgeon. He appreciated life and all of its little things.

I am SO going to miss Grandpapa, but I will ALWAYS hold his memory close to my heart. I will forever smile when I think of our little telephone conversations -- He would ask me about the weather in Vancouver, how work was going, and when I would next come visit him. I will miss hearing him tell me how happy he was with my efforts -- "C'est bien, Jen", he would say. I will continue to live my life trying to make him proud.

One last thing -- I am SO very thankful that I was able to visit with Grandpapa when he, Tante Rose, Tante Angele, and Oncle Louis visited Vancouver. I was like a little kid on Christmas morning knowing that MY GRANDPAPA was on MY home soil. I was so nervous because I wanted him to LOVE the place I called home. We had brunch, we talked, we laughed,  and will treasure that time spent forever.

Je t'aime toujours, Grandpapa. xoxox
